My Story
Bureaucrat turned Entrepreneur
I am a seasoned IT, Telecom, and Digital Transformation leader with over 35 years of experience working across Government, Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) and Private Enterprises. Throughout my career, I have held senior leadership positions and successfully delivered technology initiatives ranging from websites and mobile applications to large-scale, mission-critical digital transformation programs.
My experience spans the complete technology lifecycle—strategy, solution architecture, project execution, governance, vendor management, and business transformation. Having worked with hundreds of organizations of varying sizes and sectors, I have developed a deep understanding of how technology can be leveraged to solve business challenges, improve operational efficiency, and create sustainable growth.
What sets me apart is my ability to look beyond technology and understand the broader business context. I work closely with clients to identify their objectives, evaluate opportunities, and recommend practical, cost-effective solutions that deliver measurable outcomes.

Career Summary
I have done B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from NIT, Raipur in 1989. I joined the Department of Telecom (DoT) as Group A officer in the year 1991 after clearing Indian Engineering Services(IES) exam (AIR-65) and worked for 16 years with DoT and BSNL which is one of the largest Telecom Service Provider in India.
In BSNL, I headed IT Department at the Corporate level and was responsible for overseeing the implementation and monitoring of Telecom Billing Systems, Customer Call Centres, CRM portal, IT application development, website and Intranet portal management, Fraud Management and Decision Support System etc.
After taking voluntary retirement from BSNL in 2007, I worked with Spanco Limited – one of the leading System integration Company in India for 3 years as Associate Vice President, where my responsibility was to design large scale Telecom and IT solutions for Telecom Service Providers.
In 2009, I started my own venture and Co-Founded Virtuosos Solutions Private Limited (VSPL) , a Services startup company. We focused on development of innovative Mobile and new technology based end to end customized software solutions to Government, PSU and Enterprise customers. During last 11 years, we delivered numerous small to large scale IT projects to various clients successfully, mostly on SaaS model.
In February 2022, joined as PMU Head of National Broadband Mission, Department of Telecom which is apex body to oversee implementation of Government of India’s ambitious NBB Mission across India. After working for almost 3 years at NBM, transited to eTelecom Transformation and joined as Program Head on January 1, 2025. Responsibility was to create in house software development team of 70+ professionals, takeover and consolidate all DoT portals into single Telecom eServices Portal.
Journey so Far
Completed B.E. (Mechanical Engineering) from Government Engineering College (now NIT) , Raipur - Chhattisgarh (India) with honors.
All through meritorious student.
Passed prestigious Indian Engineering Services (IES) exam conducted by UPSC in first attempt and secured All India Rank-65.
Started career as Group A officer with Department of Telecom, Ministry of Communications and IT, Government of India.
Joined Govt PSU Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) - One of the largest Telecom Service Provider in India as Joint DDG-Information Technology at Corporate office.
Oversaw planning, implementation & monitoring of pan India IT activities, Data Center, telecom Software, Call Center, Network.
Joined SPANCO Ltd - A leading SI Company in Telecom and IT field as Associate Vise President - Telecom
Handled complex, large Telco deals / Pre-sales – proposal ownership including E2E solution design, delivery and integration services. Management of team of solution architects, bid managers, project managers and act as single point of accountability.
Co-founded Virtuosos Solutions Private Limited (VSPL) and assumed charge of CEO of the company. During last 12 years delivered numerous innovative end to end customized IT solutions to Govt Departments, PSUs and Enterprises. Also developed many mobile applications.
Got an opportunity to again work with the Department where my journey started in 1991, DoT. Government of India launched an ambitious National Broadband Mission in Dec 2019 to cover remotest of the villages with broadband at affordable price. I joined as Program Management Unit Head with the Mission and overseeing the technological works to support the Mission.
God has been kind with me in my journey so far. I am blessed with lovely family, great friends, colleagues and lots of well wishers. I now wish to share my experiences and knowledge with others, helping in whatever way I can.
